THIS IS NOT WHAT YOU THINK…

This is not a secret club, men’s program, Bible study, prayer meeting, support group, or drinking club.

A few simple principles guide us: all men are welcome, we’re a “safe place” to share anything confidently, there are no dues, and we’re all on neutral ground.

We’re a network of men joined by a desire for a deep and abiding friendship with Jesus and lasting and transparent friendships with each other. The mission and purpose of NCS are to connect men who seek and value such friendships.

A NOTE FROM JUNXION PUBLISHER RYAN DERFLER

In June 2012, my new bride and I moved across the country to Silicon Valley where we had zero contacts. I knew that without good men in my life—friends and mentors—I was doomed to fail. So even though my faith and “church life” were weak, at best, I prayed and asked God to connect me to good men. Shortly thereafter, I was invited to a breakfast on Sand Hill Rd. (the Wall Street of the West Coast) I met men who were leaders in their industry (largely venture capital) but genuinely wanted to get to know me beyond the small talk. Rapidly, at what I later learned was NCS, I made friends that cared for and invested in me (and I in them). I’m in contact with many regularly, even to this day. And yet, there’s nothing like proximity, so now that I’ve settled into Chadds Ford as a resident, I’ve yearned to connect with men who desire genuine relationships with each other and Jesus. I love that we can come from different churches or no church and operate without any formal structure, mandated program, or book to follow. This is my personal invitation to my neighbors—if you’re after something similar, I encourage you to join me soon. If we end up having anything close to what we had in California, or what I’ve witnessed at NCS chapters across the country, it will be life-changing. Sincerely, Ryan
