Junior Writer Program
Junior Writers for Chadds Ford JunXion. are expected to complete at least one (1) resident specific story each month and provide those stories prior to the deadline, which is the 10th of the month. All stories and pictures need to be submitted by the 10th.
Typical Columns Written by Junior Writers
Precious Pets: An interview with a pet that lives in town (click for template) (click for example)
Making A Difference: A Q&A style article on a resident's favorite charity. (click for example)
Kids 2 Kids: A story about a friend of yours. (click for template) (click for example)
Young Achiever: A story about a student and doing great things. This could be an individual or a team. (click for example) (click for template)
Special Interest Story: If a Junior Writer completes two (2) stories successfully, we will entertain having the student write about a special topic.
Typical Process
Email kids@cfjunxion.com to ask what articles are needed for the upcoming month(s).
Contact residents to gauge interest in participating in stories.
Interview residents and write-up article using template.
Write the story (typically 500 - 1000 words).
Collect or take photos, if needed.
Proof read, refine, and submit the completed story to kids@cfjunxion.com
Once received, we reserve the right to edit the story to correct errors or for brevity. A copy of the completed publication is mailed to all resident homes.
