JunXion + Co Chic Boutique
background
In September 2018, two sisters, Victoria Grimm & Meghan Hallquist, pursued their dream to be fashion entrepreneurs. They purchased a boutique, Annie Prue, in the desirable Glen Eagle Square shopping center between Whole Foods and Athleta. They named their new baby Co Chic Boutique, brought in hot new brands, and signed a partnership with Chadds Ford JunXion (CFX). This is the story of how the partnership unfolded.
SPONSOR SPOTLIGHT
The CFX Team quickly executed an interview and photo shoot to produce a 2-page introduction to the boutiques target customers in the Chadds Ford area.
ad design
The CFX team created a brand concept and new ads for the boutique each month, which capture the brand voice, addresses the seasonality of the business, and requires little to no oversight from Meghan and Tori.
EVENT INvites + BRAND PARTNERSHIPS
CFX invited the sisters to social events hosted in private homes to meet residents that fit their ideal customer profile. At the events and in the magazine, CFX positioned Co Chic alongside complimentary brands including Stuart Kingston Jewelers, DeWees Investment Consulting Group, Barre Balanced, and Currie Day Spa.
in-store event
CFX hosted a Ladies Night Out at the boutique including creating the invitation and promotion on social media and to the CFX VIP LIST. Fifteen residents came, fourteen of whom indicated they had never been to Co Chic Boutique before, and the boutique reported a double digit sales increase during the event. CFX also introduced the boutique to another JunXion sponsor, Barre Balanced, where a second profitable in-store event was hosted.
website
Recognizing the need for a simple yet elegant website, CFX secured a domain name and built a complete site in under a week for no additional cost, saving the thousands of dollars and months typically required. For the full site click here.
VISUAL Merchandising
CFX next introduced the boutique to a premier merchandising professional, Sue Alivio of Stagecoach Home Designs, LLC.. JunXion’s Artistic Director, Sue created the visual displays for the nations top Anthropologie store in Santa Monica, CA, among many other design achievements. With Sue’s help, the boutique achieved a high-end yet inviting storefront with incredibly clean and organized merchandise displays on a budget.
local influencerS
CFX introduced the boutique to a local personal fashion stylist, Suzie Gaffney, leading to increased exposure among their core audience. CFX then identified and recruited a young woman and professional connector from within the community to appear in Co Chic Boutique ads. The campaign went so well, the influencer opted to do a second shoot featuring her daughter.
bright future
By having a great product, being unafraid to make changes, and investing in relationships in the local market with Chadds Ford JunXion, Meghan, Tori, and Co Chic Boutique have carved a place in the Greater Philadelphia fashion scene. We’re proud of what we’ve been able to achieve together. Their star continues to rise, and in many ways, just 14 months into our partnership, we’re just getting started!
